He came back...

Well, the guy that broke into our home came back. This time I was armed and not a bit scared. I was ready for him to get back into the house but the police arrived and he was caught. Which is good! The police officer told me that he had tossed a gun into the bush when he was trying to leave. Of course hearing that did make me feel so very glad he wasn't able to make it in before police arrived. His hearing is on Monday and I am going. I have to hear what he pleads and know what is going to happen. People like him don't deserve to be out on the streets where they can hurt and scare people. I was told there was only about a 2% chance he would come back. So there you go. The chief of police told me that he must have seen something or someone he really wanted in order for him to return here and armed this time. I hope on Monday he pleads guilty and has to do some serious time. Meanwhile, I am even worse about sleeping at night. Keep us all in your prayers!

Please Be Safe......

As we all know, this time of year can be a crazy one. While some of us are busy enjoying the birth of Christ and spending time with loved ones, there are those out there that would do us harm. Just a few evenings ago Ryan and I with our two girls came home to find a man had broken the back door in and was in the middle of helping himself to our belongings. The situation was horrifying and the fact that he is still out there scares me near to death. He got into a car that had been parked outside off and on for two weeks. It turns out that he was watching us and the people that live around here. Not only did he trash my home that I have worked so hard over the last few weeks to make perfect but he has taken away my comfort and feeling of safety. Every sound I hear at night scares me and I now sleep from 9am-noon. Through all of this I am so thankful to my Mom, Tony, Heather, Ukiah, and Kevin for helping me to get through this horrible thing that has happened. Most importantly I am thankful for my husband Ryan. He was able to keep from doing something stupid and irrational like attacking him and risk getting hurt or killed and still scared the guy and got him out of our home without any of our belongings. Had something happened to Ryan I would have been devistated! Unfortunately this is nowhere near the worst thing to happen to me in my life but for some reason I am taking it much harder than anything. Ryan has been such an uplifting and strong support for me. I am always so strong but I seem to be sinking in this situation. So to all of you that I cherish and love just please be careful this holiday season!

Thankful for a Christmas Tree

Boy do I love this time of year! Right now I am enjoying some time alone. Ryan, Katherine, and Diadamia are all asleep and I have the house to myself. Everything is quiet and I am sitting here in front of our Christmas tree. It really is beautiful! Everything about this time of the year is amazing. The time to celebrate the Lord. Of course everyday is a day to celebrate the love and sacrific of our Lord Jesus Christ, but everytime I see a Christmas tree I feel so happy. I am so thankful to be on the Earth today. I am thankful for the Christmas tree, one of my all time favorite things. It doesn't matter if there are gifts under it or not. Everything it stands for is beautiful to me. The love and togetherness of the family and celebrating Christ is truly beautiful. So, here is our tree this year. We have had it up since the beginning of November. It's never too early to have something so beautiful to look at! :)

Like mother like daughter

This morning I started my cleaning routine the way I always do. I gave all the floors a good Swiffering (yes I do this twice a day everyday). While doing this I was singing Good Morning Baltimore from Hairspray. At about 11:45am after having fed Mia, changed her and put her down for a nap I heard something strange coming from the kitchen. I knew it was Katherine playing so I crept up behind her and what I saw was sooooo stinking cute! There was my big girl pushing the Swiffer back and forth and singing "Oh, oh, oh get up today,.... mornin Batimore". She would pause after about 3 pushes, set the mop down, push the button that lets out the cleaning solution, pick the mop back up and start singing and mopping. All the while holding a doll from her doll house. I grabbed the camera off of the dresser and had to take a pic. Once she saw me take the pic she started to pose. It was so cute!

Uh oh

Hmm,.... so I managed to delete all of the posts I have made in the past. Not quite sure how I managed that but thank you to Mandi for letting me know. :) Today we had family portraits done and I am so excited to give them out to everyone. Be looking for them in the mail around Christmas!
