Kitty's 1st Day of School

Well last week was full of excitement what with KITTY'S FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!! That's right, my big girl is now in school. *wipes tears from eyes* Friday August 20, 2010 at 8:30am was the start of my big girls school career. I can't believe it. Ryan, Mia and myself took her to the school that morning and I know my entire family was unsure of how I would be. For the last 4 years I have only spent one night away from my Katherine, there hasn't been a single day I have gone without seeing her and the amount of times she has even had a babysitter is incredibly small. So, once we got there we explored her class a bit and it rocks! Totally amazing classroom!! After about 15 minutes of tears and sobbing the teacher finally asked me to leave. HAHA Just joking. We met Mrs. McElmurry and she is wonderful. She has been teaching at the school for nine years and loves it. After a bit we decided it was time for us to leave and let Miss Katherine enjoy her new experiences and make friends. Both Ryan and I teared up and poor Mia cried for her Kiki, but we did a great job. I then dropped Ryan off at work and took Mia home. That's when I broke down. I sat on the sofa and cried my heart out. My sweet Mia was such a comfort to me. She put her cute little arms around me and just cuddled me. It will be nice to have some alone time with my little girl and I look forward to the new fun, excitement and milestones that come with Katherine being in school. I am already signed up to volunteer in her classroom on Mondays that Ryan has off and I know I will miss my big girl, but I can be as involved as I can be just like my mom was with me. Just as my mom did there is always volunteering in the class, PTA and field trips. :D

I am sorry for taking so long to update. The move and getting used to everything has been a huge change. There is just so much to do out here I never seem to remember to update my poor little blog. To those of you who keep emailing me to update and add pics, I promise more are coming soon. Hopefully this week I will do my summer posts and Bday posts. Luff ya'll!
