He came back...

Well, the guy that broke into our home came back. This time I was armed and not a bit scared. I was ready for him to get back into the house but the police arrived and he was caught. Which is good! The police officer told me that he had tossed a gun into the bush when he was trying to leave. Of course hearing that did make me feel so very glad he wasn't able to make it in before police arrived. His hearing is on Monday and I am going. I have to hear what he pleads and know what is going to happen. People like him don't deserve to be out on the streets where they can hurt and scare people. I was told there was only about a 2% chance he would come back. So there you go. The chief of police told me that he must have seen something or someone he really wanted in order for him to return here and armed this time. I hope on Monday he pleads guilty and has to do some serious time. Meanwhile, I am even worse about sleeping at night. Keep us all in your prayers!

Christmas pics and such will be posted soon!

I'm glad that you were safe. I know how you are feeling. Robert & I had a kid break into our house while we were taking a Sunday afternoon nap. After that, I slept with a baseball bat right under my bed. Every little noise I heard, I imagined that it was him or anyone else that wanted to come in. I even thought I would hear someone in our air-conditioning ducts!(Robert informed me that this was not possible) I think I was going through some kind of post tramatic stress syndrome. The reason I am telling you all of this is because I want you to know that it does pass. You will be able to sleep again but for now, do all that you can do to try and feel safe in your home again, even if it seems looney, like sleeping with your clothes on. Take care :o)
